Exploration on Surface Characterization of ADI Reinforced by TiCrAlN Ceramic Hard Film Using Cathodic Arc Deposition By Cheng-Hsun Hsu, Chia-Wei Peng, Jun-Yi Fong, Cheng-Hao Ho, Chun-Yin Lin Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, Tatung University 摘　　要本研究以球墨鑄鐵(FCD450)為素材進行沃斯回火熱處理後形成沃斯回火球墨鑄鐵(ADI)，為了強化其耐磨耗性與耐腐蝕性，使用陰極電弧沉積(Cathodic arc deposition，CAD)技術於ADI表面披覆TiCrAlN四元陶瓷硬膜，以探討ADI經鍍膜前後之表面特性的變化(包含結構、附著性、粗糙度、耐磨耗及耐腐蝕等)。實驗結果顯示，此CAD-TiCrAlN四元薄膜主要是由CrN及TiAlN雙相的混和結構，ADI試片披覆此TiCrAlN陶瓷硬膜之表面硬度值有顯著的提高，使其經磨耗試驗之重量損失明顯減少，顯示出有鍍膜的ADI確可提高其耐磨耗性。在耐腐蝕性方面，與鍍膜前之試片相比，ADI有TiCrAlN鍍膜處理者，經鹽霧腐蝕氛圍之耐候試驗後，其耐蝕性亦有明顯的改善。關鍵詞：沃斯回火球墨鑄鐵、氮化鋁鉻鈦鍍膜、陰極電弧沉積、耐磨耗性、耐腐蝕性 ABSTRACT In this study, the ductile iron was treated with austempering heat treatment to become as autempered ductile iron (ADI), and then the ADI surface was coated with a TiCrAlN ceramic hard film by cathodic arc deposition (PVD) technology. It was further investigated the coating characteristics (including structure, adhesion, roughness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance) before and after austempering heat treatment. The experimental results showed that TiCrAlN composite film significantly increases surface hardness of ADI, and remarkably improves the corrosion resistance of both uncoated ADI and DI. In terms of wear, compared with the uncoated ADI and DI, the weight losses of the ADI coated TiCrAlN film is the lowest, indicating that the coating can improve the wear resistance.
